Prime size soft shell crabs are 3 ounces; 4 1/2 to 5 inches size. Soft shell crabs are best fried golden and crisp. We wouldn't recommend boiling these crabs. Unlike the blue crabs - boiling soft shell crabs will cause them to fall apart. It's best battered and fried, grilled or broiled. Best part, you can eat the whole crab - enjoy! This item comes frozen.
